How we care
Hinton Wood has a real homely feel. Our team work exceptionally hard to make happy memories with the children and ensure that they feel comfortable and safe in their surroundings.
Young people are given the tools, time and experiences to achieve, explore and grow as individuals. Through these experiences, each child can learn to manage their behaviour and develop strategies to cope when they are faced with difficulties in their lives.
Everyday childhood experiences
It’s important that the young people in our care can enjoy everyday childhood experiences, such as playing football with friends and baking together.
We also organise family fun days and holiday breaks to places such as:
- Thorpe Park
- New Forest Water Park
- Europe
- UK staycations
- Moors Valley.
Celebrating every success
Our team members form close bonds with the children – celebrating their triumphs, commiserating over their disappointments, and teaching them that they are worth loving, regardless of what they have experienced in the past.
We keep the children at the centre of everything we do and are always aware of how things might impact on them and how any impact can be minimised. The welfare of each child is our top priority.
Education
Educating our children and young people is key to their overall growth. Our team of engagement workers ensure they are educated to the highest standards. By offering a combination of learning techniques, whether at home or school, we tailor our AQA-accredited education solutions to suit our children’s and young persons’ needs.
