Job title: Team Manager (Supported Housing – Young People, 16+)
Location: Primarily based in Poole, covering sites in Poole & Bournemouth (with Head Office based in Ringwood)
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week including some late shifts, occasional weekends and Bank Holidays. Occasional sleep-in shifts may be required, paid in addition to salary. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.
On-Call: Part of rota, 1 weekend in 4, plus holiday cover
Essentials: NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent); Full UK Driving Licence

We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Team Manager to lead our supported housing services for young people aged 16+. You’ll work across two semi-independent living homes in Poole and Bournemouth supporting both the young people and the dedicated team around them.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and motivating a small team of Support Workers who work around the clock overseeing the care of adolescents and young people, aged 16+ in semi-independent, supported housing
- Ensuring safety, compliance and consistency in line with Ofsted, Supported Housing Regulations 2023, and Beaufort’s standards
- Championing safeguarding, child protection, and best-practice care planning
- Acting as a mentor and role model, offering guidance to your team and the young people
- Building professional relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally including Management teams, Social Workers, Tutors, Police & Local Authority teams
- Managing day-to-day operations, including rota planning, referrals, budgets, HR, health & safety, and property maintenance
- Promoting independence of the young people and helping them navigate positively towards adulthood
- Occasional lone working will be required
What You’ll Bring
- Leadership experience in supported housing and young people
- Strong understanding of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, particularly those with trauma backgrounds
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) — and a willingness to work toward NVQ 5 (fully funded)
- Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a good sense of humour
- Confident communication style, excellent organisation and IT skills
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a small, committed team
