Young Person’s Support Worker – 16+ Supported Housing
£13.67 per hour + £55 sleep-in enhancement | £32,846 per annum | Bournemouth & Poole

At Beaufort Support Services, we’re looking for a Young Person’s Support Worker to support young people aged 16+ as they develop the confidence, skills and independence to take their next steps in life.

What you’ll be doing
- Support young people with their wellbeing, confidence and independence.
- Coach practical skills including cooking, budgeting, shopping and managing a home.
- Encourage education, employment and personal goals.
- Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.
- Help young people develop the skills they need for a successful transition to independence.
- Work with colleagues and partner agencies to provide effective support.
- Maintain accurate records and help create a safe, welcoming environment.
- Promote safeguarding and respond appropriately to incidents and concerns.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, reliable and positive, with a genuine desire to help young people succeed.
- Confident working independently and lone working with up to 5–6 young people.
- Calm and resilient when faced with challenging situations.
- A strong communicator with good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Experienced in supporting young or vulnerable people.
- Committed to completing an NVQ Level 4 in Children and Young People.
Experience in supported accommodation, social care or trauma-informed practice is desirable.
The practical details
- £13.67 per hour
- £55 per sleep-in shift
- £32,846 per annum
- 37 hours per week
- 2–3 sleep-ins per week (10 per month) across a 3-week rolling rota.
- Based in Bournemouth & Poole.
- Full UK driving licence essential as the role covers two locations.
- Lone working is required, including overnight sleep-ins. A private room is provided.
